Vision development
When designing or developing a vision of
corporate culture or values, themes such as cooperation and communication
commonly enter the discussion. How do we want to behave with each other, with
our clients and with our suppliers? In this process, disparities can quickly
arise over the interpretation of words like 'open', 'honest' and 'respect'.
Discussing these disparities often leads only to more confusion and dissent. In
situations like this, a concrete scene can clarify matters. In vision
development sessions, we facilitate the formation of the final vision over the
course of a number of sessions. In the opening scenes we look at existing
behaviour and its possible underlying reasons. This gives us a starting point
for a concept vision: what do we want to keep, what do we want to change - and
in what way? We then take a look into the future, so to speak: we put the
formulated vision into action and find out what happens. People can experience
the results and react to them directly, as if they actually were in the new
situation. These insights are used to modify and sharpen the vision, until a
useful and workable version is obtained; one which stimulates the imagination,
inspires and motivates.
